Steve Roskamp’s mental health improvement and counseling background was the catalyst for beginning his professional coaching practice. But his relationship with Core Strengths began in 2017 when he was first certified. “Being a Core Strengths partner has allowed me to bring a powerful tool into the companies I work for that are beyond the wisdom of Steve,” Roskamp explained in arguing the expansive potential of the partnership. “It’s something that I can work with that they can see and is easy to understand, although not simplistic.” Since then, his company Achilles Consulting Group has utilized Core Strengths to transform companies’ management weaknesses into strengths.
Roskamp found that Core Strengths appeals to clients for its cutting-edge platform and training that brings the best out of their teams. When working with the SDI 2.0 results, “throughout the training trust naturally increases. To have teams that can––in a non-threatening way––share their story by recasting the past.” Part of the success of the Core Strengths training is this new comfort with sharing, Roskamp emphasizes, which allows for conflict to be proactively understood. In addition to benefiting existing teams, Roskamp applied Core Strengths to his clients’ recruitment process. In learning about their new hire’s SDI 2.0 results, their teams could quickly identify their new team member’s strengths and motives.
Horizontally integrating Core Strengths into their business practice builds a newfound trust with their clients that can continue to grow. By sharing interpersonal solutions during training, the minimum takeaway from a partnership with Core Strengths is a new method of communication. Roskamp noted that the repeated benefit of the partnership is the sustainability of the Platform’s offerings. When Core Strengths is used for recruitment or his clients purchase a subscription, it invites teams to revisit their results, making them repeatedly relevant. Partnering with Core Strengths ultimately helped strengthen Roskamp’s consultancy. “I would be far less successful and far less able to market myself if I didn’t have the Core Strengths backbone supporting me.”
